High Lonesome may refer to:

High Lonesome (Randy Travis album)

High Lonesome is the seventh studio album by American country music artist Randy Travis, released on August 27, 1991. Four singles were released from the album: "Forever Together" (#1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts), "Better Class of Losers" (#2), "Point of Light" (#3), and "I'd Surrender All" reached number 20. All of these singles except "Point of Light" were co-written by Travis and country singer Alan Jackson. Conversely, Travis co-wrote Jackson's 1992 Number One hit " She's Got the Rhythm (And I Got the Blues)" from his 1992 album A Lot About Livin' (And a Little 'bout Love).

High Lonesome (film)

High Lonesome is a 1950 American Technicolor Western, period movie, written and directed by Alan Le May, who is famous as the writer for the classic Westerns The Searchers and The Unforgiven. It is his only directing credit. This film stars John Drew Barrymore (billed as "John Barrymore, Jr.") and features Chill Wills and Jack Elam. It is set in the Big Bend country of West Texas.

High Lonesome is the eighth studio album by The Charlie Daniels Band, released on November 5, 1976.

Many of the tracks pay homage to pulp Western fiction. The album’s title probably refers to the 1962 Western novel by Louis L’Amour. The album is dedicated to L’Amour and James Bama. Daniels concludes his dedication poem, “My sincere appreciation for the hours of honest pleasure you’ve both given me.”
