Fruitcake (or fruit cake) is a cake made with chopped candied fruit and/or dried fruit, nuts, and spices, and (occasionally) soaked in spirits. A cake that simply has fruit in it as an ingredient can also be colloquially called a fruit cake. In the United Kingdom, certain rich versions may be iced and decorated.
Fruit cakes are typically served in celebration of weddings and Christmas. Given their rich nature, fruit cake is most often consumed on its own, as opposed to with condiments (such as butter or cream).
Fruitcake is the fourth commercial and only concept album of the Filipino band Eraserheads, released in 1996 by Sony BMG Music Philippines Inc. (formerly BMG Records Pilipinas, Inc.) It is also the official Christmas album and was accompanied by a separate storybook, also called Fruitcake. It can be categorized as a musical itself and to date, there has only been one theater musical adaptation of it - the Eraserheads' Fruitcake Musical 2010.
The release of Fruitcake is preceded by the release of a limited cassette EP version which was later released as a CD, also called Fruitcake. The cassette and CD single version contains three songs, including a different version of the song "Fruitcake" and another song called "Christmas Alphabet" which is not found in the official Fruitcake album. The album is the band's longest in terms of duration, lasting 73 minutes.

Fruitcake EP is an EP released by the defunct Filipino alternative rock band Eraserheads released by Sony BMG Music Philippines Inc. (Formerly BMG Records Pilipinas, Inc.) in 1996 as a promotional material for the launching of their album Fruitcake in December 1996. The album contains three tracks that includes the band's well-known Christmas song "Fruitcake", "Old Fashioned Christmas Carol" and an unplugged version of the song "Christmas Alphabet".
"Fruitcake" is the fifth single by The Superions, a side project of Fred Schneider of The B-52s. The single was released to iTunes Stores as a digital download on September 21, 2010 and is featured on The Superions' Christmas album Destination... Christmas! which was released October 25, 2010 on Fanatic Records.
