Frontline is an Australian comedy television series which satirised Australian television current affairs programmes and reporting. It ran for three series of 13 half-hour episodes and was broadcast on ABC TV in 1994, 1995, and 1997.

Frontline (styled by the program as FRONTLINE) is a public affairs television program that produces and broadcasts in-depth documentaries about various subjects. Produced at WGBH-TV in Boston, Massachusetts and distributed through the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) in the United States, the program has been critically acclaimed and received numerous awards. Some programs are made by independent filmmakers and broadcast as part of the Frontline series. Since the series debut, there have been more than 500 films broadcast. Although primarily seen through television, the program shows a large portion of their shows in interactive webcasts on their main website.

Frontline (journal)

Frontline Journal is an independent Marxist journal produced in support of the Scottish Socialist Party. It aims to look at all aspects of politics, society and culture in Scotland and internationally.

It was first produced in 2000 as the theoretical journal of the International Socialist Movement, a platform of the SSP, however following the disbanding of the ISM in early 2006, it is currently published by a steering group composed of former members. In March 2008 a decision was taken by the editorial board to relaunch the magazine as an independent journal, although it remains sympathetic to and supportive of the Scottish Socialist Party.

Topics which it has covered have included the internal issues of the SSP, coverage on the debate around Scottish Independence, gender equality, the Spanish Civil War and the anti-capitalist and anti-globalisation movement. It has included eye witness accounts from the political struggles in Afghanistan and Argentina amongst other first hand reports.

This is a list of the 13 episodes of series one of Frontline, which first aired in 1994. In series 1, Frontline chronicles the behind-the-scenes workings of a struggling current affairs show competing with dominant players for audience share. The series is shot in mockumentary style.

All of the show's episodes were written and directed by Rob Sitch (Mike Moore), Jane Kennedy (Brooke Vandenberg), Santo Cilauro (Geoffrey Salter)—who also did most of the camera work—and Tom Gleisner. Although Gleisner did not have a regular role, he had several cameo appearances in the first season as Colin Konica, the photocopier repairman, who has one line in the last episode of the season.

Frontline (ministry)

Frontline was the young adult ministry of McLean Bible Church, a non-denominational evangelical Christian church with campuses throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Frontline was started in 1994 and has an average weekly attendance of over 2500 between its multiple campuses. John McGowan is the current Director and Teaching Pastor for Frontline. In early 2011 John stepped up for Todd Phillips, Frontline's previous Teaching Pastor. Todd Phillips now teaches at Lake Pointe Church; a multi-site church outside of Dallas, Texas.

"Frontline" was a three-part storyline in the long-running police procedural British television series The Bill. Broadcast in 2008, the storyline is significant in the show's history as it involved a series of bombings in and around Sun Hill, which resulted in the death of PC Emma Keane. Three major events occur across the storyline: PCs Armstrong, Gayle, Fletcher and Sgt. Stone's gang is found out by PC Keane, who does not agree with their techniques, Keane is later killed in a bomb blast, and DI Karen Lacy makes her debut and departure in three episodes.

Frontline (social work)

Frontline is a charity which recruits and trains social workers in the UK.

Frontline coordinates a 2 year employment-based training programme whereby participants are placed at local authority Children's Services departments. In their first year participants work directly with children and families while completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work. At the end of the year, successful participants qualify as social workers. In their second year participants continue working in their local authorities and undertake further study, working towards a fully funded Masters in Social Work.

The scheme has received widespread coverage from the UK media and cross-party political support. Frontline was given explicit support in the election manifestos of the Labour, Liberal Democrat and Conservatives parties.

In February 2015, Frontline was awarded a grant of £1.8m by the DfE to develop 'Firstline', a new training program for managers in social work.
