Ektron

Ektron was a privately held company that developed web content management software based in Nashua, New Hampshire. It provides web content management software. Ektron's primary products were Ektron CMS (content management system) and Digital Experience Hub, built on the Microsoft .NET Framework.

Ektron was founded in 1998 and entered the web content management market in the early 2000s. In 2014, Ektron was acquired by private equity firm Accel-KKR, who had previously been a minority investor. Ektron initially denied the acquisition, until an internal document was leaked on the internet.

In January 2015, Accel-KKR merged Ektron with its competitor EPiServer. According to Accel-KKR, the company will operate as EPiServer and will continue to keep the Ektron brand. Ektron has received industry recognition including the 2014 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management and the 2011 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Social Software,
