Directus is a free and open-source headless CMS and backend as a service platform based on SQL and distributed under the GNU General Public License. The Directus framework provides an API that allows software developers to manage and sync data across multiple clients. Its primary goal is to support mobile or web applications that require complete control over their SQL database architecture for optimizing performance and organization. Directus was originally created by Ben Haynes and is now managed by RANGER Studio out of Brooklyn, NY.
