Dhool

Dhool is a 2003 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by Dharani. The film featured Vikram, Jyothika and Reemma Sen in the lead roles, while Vivek, Sayaji Shinde, Telangana Sakunthala and Pasupathy among others play supporting roles. The film, produced by A. M. Rathnam at a cost of 7 crore, had music composed by Vidyasagar and released in January 2003 to positive reviews and was a huge commercial success. It was dubbed into Malayalam while being remade in Telugu, Sinhalese, Punjabi, and Bengali.

Dhool (2011 film)

Dhool is a 2011 Indian Kannada language romantic action film written and directed by Dharani, son of director M. S. Rajashekar making his directorial debut. The film was produced by M. H. Sunil. The film stars Yogesh, Aindrita Ray and Prakash Raj in the lead roles. It was a remake of Tamil hit film, Thiruvilaiyaadal Aarambam directed by Boopathy Pandian and starring Dhanush and Shriya Saran. Prakash Raj reprised his own role from the original version. The film features the soundtrack and original scores composed by V. Harikrishna. , Thiruvilaiyaadal Aarambam was dubbed in Hindi as Super Khiladi Returns and also remade in Telgu as Takkari (dubbed in hindi as Meri Ladai). The film stars Nitin and Sadha.

The film released on 29 April 2011 across Karnataka to positive response. However critics noted that the remake version could not match up to its original Tamil version. Movie was also dubbed in Hindi as Dildaar.
