Cressa is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Novara in the Italian region Piedmont, located about northeast of Turin and about northwest of Novara. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,480 and an area of .

Cressa borders the following municipalities: Bogogno, Borgomanero, Fontaneto d'Agogna, and Suno.

Cressa (genus)

Cressa is a genus of plants in the morning glory family known generally as alkaliweeds. These plants are native to the tropical and subtropical areas of the world. They are clumpy and low-growing but usually have erect stems covered white-haired, green leaves. They produce tiny white flowers about half a centimeter across.

There are four species in the genus.
