Bonaventure

Saint Bonaventure (; 1221 – 15 July 1274), born Giovanni di Fidanza, was an Italian medieval Franciscan, scholastic theologian and philosopher. The seventh Minister General of the Order of Friars Minor, he was also a Cardinal Bishop of Albano. He was canonised on 14 April 1482 by Pope Sixtus IV and declared a Doctor of the Church in the year 1588 by Pope Sixtus V. He is known as the "Seraphic Doctor" . Many writings believed in the Middle Ages to be his are now collected under the name Pseudo-Bonaventura.

Bonaventure (Montreal Metro)

Bonaventure is a station on the Orange Line of the Montreal Metro rapid transit system, operated by the Société de transport de Montréal (STM). It is located in the borough of Ville-Marie in downtown Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

It opened on February 13, 1967, four months after most of the initial network. It served as the western terminus of the Orange Line for 14 years until the extension to Place-Saint-Henri was opened in 1981.

Bonaventure is a provincial electoral district in the Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine region of Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It is located on the southern shore of the Gaspé Peninsula and encompasses several towns along the Baie des Chaleurs and the New Brunswick border.

It was originally created for the 1867 election (and an electoral district of that name existed earlier in the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada and the Legislative Assembly of Lower Canada).

In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, it gained Chandler from Gaspé electoral district.
