What is "balekilla"

Balekilla is a part of Rajgad fort and is actually the highest point on Rajgad fort. This is the finest fort in the count of hill forts. Balekilla construction made this fort very magnificent compared to all others forts in Maharashtra. After all surrounded by three Maachi (lower plateaus) Padmavati, Sanjivani and Suvela this Balekilla had all complete fortification and secured residential constructions like main door, fort walls, temple, water tanks and secret escape passage. Trekking till Rajgad Fort is not much of a different task but when it comes to climbing up to Balekilla, that takes some physical and mental strength. It's a total rocky and watery slope (sometimes its literally 70°-80° steep slope). Most people prefer not to visit this place. But climbing up with precaution will definitely take you there. And when you reach there, it is an wonderful achievement and the joy is always overwhelming. The air is so cool and fresh. you almost fill like heaven.
