Augustin (song)

"Augustin" was the Swedish entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 1959, performed in Swedish by Brita Borg.

The song was the winner of Melodifestivalen 1959, there performed by Siw Malmkvist. However Sveriges radio decided to send Brita Borg to Eurovision with the song instead of Malmkvist.

The song was performed seventh on the night, following Germany's Alice & Ellen Kessler with " Heute Abend wollen wir tanzen geh'n" and preceding Switzerland's Christa Williams with " Irgendwoher". The song received 4 points, placing 9th in a field of 11.

The song was succeeded as Swedish representative at the 1960 contest by Siw Malmkvist with " Alla andra får varann".
