ATV is a television station in Melbourne, Australia, part of Network Ten – one of the three major Australian commercial television networks.

ATV (Turkey)

ATV (also stylized aTV) is a nationwide TV channel in Turkey, began broadcasting in September 1993. ATV is an acronym of Actual Television . As of August 2013, ATV is Turkey's 5th popular channel with a market share of 6.71%.

ATV was founded by Dinç Bilgin, who is the original owner of the channel. The channel changed its ownership to Ciner Medya Grubu in 2002, and Tasarruf Mevduatı Sigorta Fonu in 2007. ATV was owned by Çalık Holding's Turkuvaz Media Group, but in 2013, the ownership changed again to Kalyon Group.

ATV (Austria)

ATV is the largest commercial television station in Austria and was the first commercial station to be aired via transmitters after a long time when commercial broadcasts in Austria were only possible via satellite or cable and the national public broadcaster ORF held a monopoly of using the airwaves.

According to the current broadcasting legislation in Austria, ATV has to be transmitted nationwide alongside the two public channels ORF1 and ORF2 via digital terrestrial television and satellite as well as all cable companies in Austria have to provide at least these three channels to their subscribers. Satellite broadcasts are encrypted as are the ORF channels but it is possible to watch ATV by using the decoding cards issued by ORF. These cards can be obtained only by people living in Austria and paying the television license fees.

Another important Austrian commercial television stations available on digital terrestrial television, satellite and cable is Puls 4, although these have to arrange their broadcasting independently since they are not covered by the aforementioned Austrian television legislation regulating the two ORF channels and ATV.

ATV is the largest privately operated terrestrial television network in Pakistan; the channel has the second largest national viewership base in the country only behind PTV Home. The channel was launched on May 1, 2005.

ATV (formerly known as Magyar ATV) is the first Hungarian private TV channel, broadcasting continuously since 1989. The focus of programming is news, public life, current events. Licensed as a partially public service commercial television station, it is obliged to broadcasting public interest programs ( news, current affairs, sports, religion) 50% of the time. Because of this special status, the channel is eligible to apply for grants from the government and the radio and television authority. As of 2003 the owner of the channel is the Hungarian Faith Church.

It is operated by the state's Telecommunication Company Telesur. In August 2014 ATV made work of it to switch from analog to digital tv. The network uses the ATSC standard. ATV's picture formats are 480p ( SDTV) 720p ( HDTV).
