Ässät

Porin Ässät ( Finnish for Pori Aces) is an ice hockey club based in the town of Pori, Finland. They play in the Finnish elite league, Liiga. They play in at the Porin jäähalli in Isomäki. This arena is known for its intense atmosphere and for being a hard place for visiting teams to achieve desired results.

The full name of the company operating the team is at present HC Ässät Pori Oy. They have won three Finnish Championships in ice hockey (1971, 1978, 2013), and several other medals — most recently silver in 2006. In addition both Karhut and RU-38 were one-time champions each.

Assat

Assat is a commune in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department in southwestern France. It is located at the foot of the Pyrenees. This little bastide was built at the end of the 12th century. Gaston Fébus lived there.

Ässät (football)

Ässät was a football club from Pori, Finland. It was established in 1967 as two local sports clubs Karhut and RU-38 merged. The football section was dissolved in 1981 and today Ässät is known as an ice hockey club.

Ässät played two seasons in the Finnish premier division Mestaruussarja ( 1968, 1969) and two seasons in the second tier Suomensarja (1970, 1971). In 1970 Ässät won the U-19 Finnish Championship title.
