Arasu is a Kannada film starring Puneeth Rajkumar, Ramya and Meera Jasmine. Popular south Indian actress Shriya Saran also make a cameo appearance in this film. This is Shriya's first Kannada language film. This film made huge expectation among the fans and become a blockbuster.

Arasu is a 2003 Tamil film starring R. Sarathkumar, Simran, Delhi Ganesh, Vadivelu, Roja Selvamani, Kiran Rathod and directed by Suresh. The score and soundtrack was composed by Mani Sharma. This film was a 'hit' in the box office.
It was remade in Kannada as Indra with Darshan.
