Apistidae, the Wasp scorpionfishes, is a family of scorpaeniform fishes native to the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean. They are fairly small fishes reaching lengths of TL in Cheroscorpaena tridactyla to TL in Apistus carinatus.
