Ambur
Ambur is a town and state Assembly Constituency in the Vellore District of Tamil Nadu, India. It is located on the banks of the Palar River on the Chennai- Bangalore National Highway. The economy is dependent on leather tanning industry, earning it the nickname Leather City of South India. It is also known for Biryani, a tasty rice dish.
