Adrien (opera)

Adrien (Hadrian) is an opera by the French composer Étienne Méhul. The libretto, by François-Benoît Hoffman, is closely based on Metastasio's Adriano in Siria. Originally intended for performance at the Paris Opéra in 1792, the work was caught up in the turbulent political climate of the French Revolution and banned until 1799.

Adrien is a 2015 Canadian drama film, written and directed by Renée Beaulieu. The film stars Normand D'Amour as Adrien, a small-town automobile repair shop owner who is confronting his mortality as he awaits a kidney transplant.

The film was shot in Trois-Pistoles, Quebec.

The film garnered three Canadian Screen Award nominations at the 4th Canadian Screen Awards in 2016, in the categories of Best Overall Sound ( Sylvain Brassard, Arnaud Têtu, Pascal Van Strydonck and Olivier Léger), Best Editing (Renée Beaulieu) and Best Sound Editing ( Benoît Dame).

Adrien is a French comedy film, released in 1943. Directed by Fernandel, the film stars Fernandel as Adrien Moulinet, a modest and unassuming bank clerk who invents a motorized rollerskate but needs the help of advertising agent Jules Petipas ( Paul Azaïs) to help market it.

The film's cast also includes Paulette Dubost, Huguette Vivier, Dorette Ardenne, Jean Tissier, Jane Marken, Roger Duchesne and Georges Chamarat.

Adrien (dancer)

Adrien, né Julien-Adrien Renoux (27 May 1816, Paris - ?) was an 19th-century French dancer and choregrapher.

He danced in Lyon in 1841, in Paris from 1843 to 1846, in Brussels from 1847 to 1849. Back in Paris, he remained there until 1853 at least, and then danced in Marseille in 1857 and 1858 at least, in Bordeaux in 1863 and in Madrid the following year. He then left for America, where he performed in Boston in 1867 and New York in 1868. His place and date of death are unknown.
